Newsroom nominated for Best PR Agency 2010
Our customers have spoken. Last time, we became the
third best PR agency in Sweden. Now, once again, we are nominated
by the prestigious trade magazine Resumé for the price Kundens
Bästa Byrå (Best Agency according to the customers) in the PR
category.
Novus survey company has, commissioned by Resumé, asked our customers about how satisfied they are with Newsroom. The questions in the survey focused on particular skills, knowledge, business value and reliability.
Novus has also asked our customers if they can recommend Newsroom to other potential clients.
"It is particularly gratifying to be nominated for Kundens Bästa
Byrå, as the price is based on what our customers think about us",
says Gun Rosendahl, CEO of Newsroom.
The final rankings will be published on 24 May at a gala at Södra
Teatern in Stockholm.

Newsroom – third best PR agency in Sweden
Third in Sweden and the best agency outside Stockholm. Newsroom
consolidates its role as the leading PR agency in Western
Sweden.
This was clear when the trade magazine Resumé on Wednesday evening
presented the best agencies 2008 in advertising, events,
publishing, design, web and public relations.
Only two PR agencies ranked better than Newsroom.
Last year Newsroom was ranked eighth best PR agency in Sweden. This
year we reached third place.
"Our customers have great confidence in us and partnerships have
deepened in recent years," says Newsrooms CEO, Gun Rosendahl.
"We can look back on two very successful years with an increasing
demand for our services".
The Resumé agency ranking is based on a customer survey, conducted
by survey company Easy Research.
Social media important part of PR
Who says what on the Internet about your business ? And how can
you use the Internet to your advantage?
Social media are today very effective channels to debate, promote
and spread information.
- Social media are an increasingly important complement to
traditional PR. In particular, social media are a great help to
keep up a high level of attention generated by traditional PR
campaigns. We can online, in real time, bring new information into
the social media sphere, says Åsa Frykberg, PR Consultant at
Newsroom.
Everybody do not understand the significance of social media. A
good example of how to exploit social media is the
Obama-administrations effort during the presidential
election.
A recent study from the United States show that 77 percent of large
and medium-sized enterprises believe that social media are
important or very important. And the use of social media is
increasing all the time. We have a similar progress in
Sweden.
Companies in fashion, food and know-how have adopted social media
more than others. But also many smaller businesses with limited
marketing and advertising budgets use social media to create
attention around the companys affairs in a cost effective manner.
In Sweden, about eight percent of all companies have a blog
today.
Social media are primarily Internet-based tools for sharing and
discussing information . They include SMS, blogs, social
networking, films, pictures, online games and electronic versions
of newspapers with the opportunity to comment.

Web TV a self-evident channel of information
The information flow is constantly increasing and it is
important for companies to find new, innovative ways to reach out
with their messages. Web TV is a relatively new and particularly
cost-effective way to be seen.
Web TV is an environmentally friendly communication channel.
With a strategic public relations plan as a basis, it increases
availability, sales figures and visits to the site.
Through Web TV you can easily bring out and visualize your message
in a new way, both externally to your target groups and internally
to your employees.
- More and more companies realize that Web TV is an integrated part
of the communication platform, "says Pernilla Holmgren Larsson,
Webb TV producer and reporter at Newsroom.

Environmental issues important in the choice of printing house
At Newsroom we produce about a hundred printed matters each
year. Therefore, our choice of printing house is very important.
Today we print a large part of our production at the family-owned
printer Billes in Gothenburg. A strong contributing factor is that
Billes always is at the front edge when it comes to the
environment.
"The various environmental certifications are extremely important
to us," says CEO Niklas Bille.
In addition to the better-known ISO certification of ISO 9001
(quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental), Billes is also
FSC- and PEFC-certified and Svanen Licensed.
"FSC and PEFC ensures traceability of the paper, and its raw
material, all the way back to forestry. It also means that forestry
meets the requirements for an environmentally friendly and
sustainable business.
"The Svanen License, we have had for many years. A few years ago
the requirements for this license was raised, and we were among the
first printers to achieve the new Svanen License.
The building is also of the most modern cut. Among other things, we
re-use waste heat from the printing machines to heat the entire
building".
"We can ensure that all our production takes place with the highest
quality and lowest possible environmental impact", says Niklas
Bille.
Billes has 55 employees and a turnover of about 130 million
SEK.

Invest in environmental PR – Market your environmental work
Newsroom has developed a method to help customers to communicate
their environmental performance, both internally and
externally.
"Most companies are actively working with the environment today.
But many do it in silence. At Newsroom, we feel that the companies
should see their environmental work as a competitive marketing
advantage. Right communicated, it contributes to strengthen the
companys brand and image", says Gun Rosendahl, CEO at
Newsroom.
The Newsroom method for effective environmental communication can
be adapted to most companies. Following an analysis we present a
clear strategy with messages on how, what and to whom the
environmental work should be communicated. We also give suggestions
on various promotional activities to enhance the companys brand and
increase the understanding of the companys environmental
awareness.
"It is all about creating positive PR around the companys
environmental performance to the right target groups. We do this by
presenting environmental activities, in a news manner. For example,
we may present news for selected journalists, challenge competitors
in a debate article or create an environmental event. With a
strategic mindset - where all the various activities support and
reinforce each other - the company will become a forerunner in the
field of environmental work", says Gun Rosendahl.

Newsroom produces the best staff magazine – Bilia News
Newsroom produces the best Swedish staff magazine. RIM, the
Swedish Association of Inhouse Editors, has selected the best staff
magazine. Newsroom won the category "100 per cent external
production."
- We are very happy about the result! Both the customer and we have
high ambitions with Bilia News. It is particularly pleasing to get
recognition from our own industry, says Gun Rosendahl, project
manager and Newsroom's CEO.
Newsroom has produced Bilia News since 2002. Bilia is the largest
car dealer in Scandinavia with sales and garages in Sweden, Norway
and Denmark.
The magazine is published four times a year in all three countries.
Newsroom produces text, photos, and illustrations and is also
responsible for the design and the printing.
- The quality is very important for us. The magazine is neat, well
written and credible, says Gun Rosendahl.
The jurys justification reads: "Bilia News is full of facts and
news. The language is easy to read and the texts are short. The
editorial ambition is to create togetherness within the group by
letting all the professionals be heard. The cover with its retro
feeling gives Bilia News its own expression and appeal. The
pictures are well chosen and the editing nice and clear. The
editorial is personal. The magazine had further increased its
credibility by having more articles about the staff, as well as
controversial subjects and debate. "
Newsroom – best PR agency outside Stockholm
The top ten Swedish public relations agencies have been
nominated by the marketing magazine Resumé for the award "Swedens
best PR agency in 2007". Only one PR agency was located outside
Stockholm, namely Newsroom with its headquarter in Gothenburg. It
means that Newsroom is the best PR agency in western Sweden and one
of the countrys top ten public relations agencies.
The nomination is based on a very comprehensive survey of the
agencies customers.
- We are extremely happy and proud of the nomination. It shows that
our customers appreciate what we do. Moreover, it is extra
rewarding to be the only agency outside Stockholm, which is
nominated for the award, says Gun Rosendahl, Newsroom's CEO.
The customer survey was conducted by Easy Research on behalf of
Resumé.
